With our first Lakeside Chat behind us, we are excited to inform you that Amy Ivy has agreed to join us again for Part 2 - tips and tricks for gardening with the focus on raised beds! Amy is a retired horticulturist with Cornell Cooperative Extension. 

For 31 years she taught classes, wrote articles and gave advice to home gardeners and commercial growers. She had a regular gardening column in the Plattsburgh Press Republican and weekly live chats about gardening on North Country Public Radio. In past years, she was heard often on WIRY radio and in the 1990’s she was a regular on Mountain Lake Public Television’s call-in show ‘Your Backyard Garden.’

Our Lakeside Chats were started in Spring 2020 to help us feel more connected. Think casual conversation about a wide range of topics. Imagine an online video version of a regular backyard (or front porch) get-together with friends and neighbors. For each Lakeside Chat, a different guest leads the conversation about their area of expertise, their passionate hobby.
