PLATTSBURGH, NY- The Champlain Valley Business and Professional Women's Club (BPW) recently honored Heidi G. Clute, CFP(r), owner of Clute Wealth Management, as Businesswoman of the Year.
Nominees for Businesswoman of the Year must be currently employed and the person must exhibit "the highest degree of integrity in her daily life and be highly respected in her community," according to Amanda Maggy, BPW President.
Heidi Clute's nomination was submitted by Plattsburgh State's Distinguished Service professor Dr. Nancy Church, and jointly prepared by Heidi's employees at Clute Wealth Management. The submission cited specific examples of beneficial and fair business practices toward her employees and the community, including Heidi's help to establish the Champlain Valley BPW scholarship endowments with the Plattsburgh State Foundation and the Clinton Community College Foundation.
"I've been working with Heidi for 11 years, and I've always admired her leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills and her truly caring personality, towards both clients and employees," said Christina Ubl, CFP(r). "She sets a great example for all of us of here in the office by working extremely hard but always finding a way to include a little fun," she added. Heidi has been in business since 1980, and today employs seven people, including six women.
Upon acceptance of the award, Clute dedicated the award to her co-workers, "...a brilliant group of people who have worked tirelessly," she said. "They've made a huge difference in my life and the lives of others... It's an amazing experience because it's humbling, and I'm really moved by it," she added.
